A male oriental magpie robin standing on a refuse grille after taking a shower. The juvenile plumage was shedding for the bird to take up an even prettier look as it moves up to adulthood.
Everywhere you go, you see people using their cell phones for different purposes. This one was taken at the concourse of the Hung Hom Stadium at about 6 this afternoon using a D200 and an AFD50-135mm Tokina
These were shots taken in April 2009 using my old set of digiscoping setup: Swarovski 80 HD ATM (angled as compared to the straight one I am using now), 30x-eyepiece, Nikon CP8400.
The Nikon CP8400 is an old compact digital camera but its CCD is larger than the one in Ricoh's 24-72mm zoom lens. It is slow with digital processing and noisy if used above ISO 100 (as far as digiscoping is concerned for the light the camera received is only secondary in source, i.e. not from the bird direct but through the fieldscope and eyepiece). Otherwise, it is just a gem and few compact digital cameras can hardly come an inch closer to its performance.
Enzo at K11. Enzo sells jewellery, watches and optics. The shop had sort of an inauguration ceremony there this afternoon. Passing by, I took this but the light was too dim for my slow and low-end Nikkor to cope with. Failing to get a sharp shot, I resorted to defocusing it a bit on the spot. And this is what it has turned out.
The coming of Autumn ... the coming of a time that different colors will show themselves in the woods ... a time that many a lover of photography will be busy looking for locations to take the best landscape photographs they can conceive of.
Will likely be on a tour to Mongolia in early October for shots of fall foliage. Really, fall colors are fascinating ... colors that will haunt you from time to time once when you saw them before. Here is a pick from an Autumn visit to Shenyang.

It is a pity that the sign does not fit into the nature.
Re: 'It is a pity that the sign does not fit into the nature.'
Probably, you're referring to the white-shirt woman in the middle of the void on the right side. There is a stair there for hikers to get to the top, walk down and walk forward.
Thanks for liking the shot.

Back from a walk by the Tolo seashore and got a shot of the high rise along the Ma On Shan promenade. How I dreamed there was a smiley crescent at the upper left of the shot.
The shot was taken with a D700 and an AFS 28-300mm VR Nikkor.
A double-exposure shot with the first exposure using ambient light with the EV set at -3 and the second shot using flash lights of 3 stops below the normal exposure for the graytone.
The full aperture was used for the first exposure while f14 was used for the second one.
The focus of the 1st exposure was at the very corner adjacent to the wheel-like control switch of the camera. The second was on the shutter release.
The vignets were added in post-treatment.
